Kent Hospital in Warwick is one big step closer to it’s $2.8 million capital campaign for a new heart center.

The Coastway Cares Charitable Foundation announced Tuesday that it would donate $100,000 to the hospital.

The gift, one of the largest the hospital has received, will help the Kent Hospital Foundation meet their goal of opening a hear center next year. The new center would provide Rhode Island residents with access to emergency angioplasty services.
