I have noticed an odd trend in Boston/New England Sports over the last few weeks that may serve as an “effective” prediction tool. If you have noticed, the Patriots and the Bruins have played teams of the same region in the same week…with the same result! Not only is the win/loss the same for the respective teams, but the result of the game is in very similar fashion:

Sat. November 8th - Bruins win over Buffalo Sabres 3-1. Taking the lead in the NorthEast Division

Sun. November 9th - Patriots defeat Buffalo Bills 20-10. The win results in a 1st place tie for East Division.

Thurs. November 13th - Patriots lost to Jets in OT 34-31

Sat. November 15th - Bruins lost to New York Rangers in overtime shootout 3-2

This brings us to this weekend. The match-ups continue with Boston Sports battling Florida.

Based on the presented evidence, the Boston Bruins game against the Florida Panthers on Friday should predict the outcome of the Patriots - Dolphins showdown on Sunday afternoon.
