Some business and community leaders in Providence spent a few hours yesterday stepping into the shoes of people struggling with poverty.  Social Venture Partners of Rhode Island Executive Director Jennifer Marrapese says the activity gave the participants concrete experiences to help them understand the difficulties that face impoverished people in the city.  Participants took part in multiple 15 minutes sessions designed to represent one week in the life of an impoverished person.
