Last Tuesday night (not a typical concert-night for many concert- goers) at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in downtown Providence, a highly-pleased crowd was treated to a phenomenal performance by the very talented Andrew Bird and opener St. Vincent.
Among the hordes of crowd surfers and tireless dancers in the pit, a sold-out crowd that reached the far-back rows of the balcony was captivated by the genuine surge of music, power, and dedication to sound that the Silversun Pickups perfected last Saturday night at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel.
The immensely popular and well-selling 1973 album Dark Side of the Moon by psychedelic aficionados Pink Floyd has a place in rock music history forever. And, as with many monumental rock releases, it has just been waiting to be rehashed and renewed by modern rock bands of today.
