Weezer has been heading to the studio with some strange companions.  They’ve cut five songs for a future edition of AOL Sessions with jazz saxophonist Kenny G, rapper Chamillionaire, and Sara Bareilles (who, conincidentatly, will not be writing a love song for anybody).

Although Weezer clearly is aware of these musicians, they don’t all seem to return the favor.

Kenny G: “I don’t know anything about Weezer– nothing. I’ve heard the name, but I never knew any of their songs [except] some song about a sweater… with the wool coming apart?”

I’ll be interested to see this session when it comes out in November.
