Or similarly cheap tickets for Bruce Springsteen? Paul McCartney? U2? You may be able to find them on StubHub or other ticket re-sellers.

Due to the recession, last-minute ticket vendors are willing to take whatever money they can get, so music fans willing to do their research could very well end up seeing their favorite band for less than it would take to pay for lunch.

This struggle in the ticket resale industry contrasts sharply with the recent success of concert giants such as Ticketmaster, but even these corporations are taking steps to make sure their customers can keep enjoying live musi in tough financial times. Live Nation’s “No Service Fee Wednesday” promotion has been continuing in different, fan-chosen forms, such as half-price ticket Wednesdays.

Coldplay will be playing at the Comcast Center tonight, August 3rd, and Paul McCartney’s two shows with MGMT at Fenway Park are August 5th and 6th.
