you said it best jojo when you said "not to take away from the winners" Fairhaven. ive played on the same bill as these boys w/ my band and theyre great. ...not surprised whatsoever when ifound out they won. all you gotta do is go on there myspace, to their shows, etc to realize why they deserve to be in this competition. all the semi 'fs in this thing were great tho

I would have to agree with jeverich. It should definatly not be considered a "rock hunt" Far Off Place is more rock than i've heard in a long time. There crowd response was amazing, the songs are most definatly well rehersed, thought out hits, stage presence and musicianship was undeniably tight, yet (and not to take away from the winners) they lost to an unoriginal non rock sound. you should call it the alternative money machine hunt. All I could think after I heard the winners announced was that if any of the rock gods from the past were judges Far Off Place would have stole the show, and would be winners at lupos. you not only lost a listener but you lost a chance to promote one of the best local rock bands of our time.

First of all, I would like to congratulate Fat Off Place for an excellent show last night at the Wheelhouse.

What criteria were the so called 'judges; using to gauge the winner of the semifinalist titile? It was clear that Far Off Place had stronger crowd response - as well as a much tighter overall sound.

I guess that tight rythm structure, lyrical hooks, talent and general badassness does not have a part within today's 'Alt' rock scene - at least the one that your station promotes.

Perhaps you've decided that you can make more of a profit through promoting Fairhaven - I don't know.

I just want to let you know that you've lost a listener. I alwsys thought that a lot of your music was gutless - now I'm just totally disgusted.
